We believe your reproductive healthcare story has the power to inform, connect, and drive change.

Patients are forced to leave the state for care. Doctors are barred from providing life-saving treatment. Families face impossible choices, and politicians ignore the harm they’ve caused.

If you’re a clinician who has had to say, “I’m sorry, I can’t help you,” or a patient who’s had to cross state lines for care, we invite you to share your story. Your voice can bridge divides, challenge stigma, and shift public understanding.

The Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Fund believes healthcare decisions should be based on best medical practices, not political agendas. Abortion is healthcare—and it belongs between a patient and their provider. Kentucky’s total ban on abortion prevents doctors from acting in their patients’ best interest, and we believe the lawmakers and constituents need to hear what happens when that private relationship is broken.

We must remind lawmakers what’s at stake: our freedom, our health, our futures. Sharing your experience helps us build understanding and push back against laws that ignore the real consequences of abortion bans.

We are calling on physicians, nurses, counselors, and clinic staff to speak up. Share what you’ve seen. Let the public and policymakers hear the truth: abortion bans harm patients, violate your training, and erode trust between provider and patient.

Patients, your voice can bridge divides, challenge stigma, and shift public understanding.

Abortion bans hurt all Kentuckians. We encourage allies, family, and friends to share how abortion bans impact the lives of everyone in the path of their harmful laws.
