Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Fund Launches Statewide Video Campaign Highlighting the Harms of Abortions Bans
The Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Fund (KYRFF) has launched a new statewide and national video campaign to raise public awareness about the real-world consequences of Kentucky’s total abortion ban.
The campaign amplifies the voices of Kentucky medical professionals, faith leaders, and patients, highlighting the tangible harm caused by these restrictive abortion bans and the urgent need for change.
Abortion bans not only threaten patients’ health and safety but also put medical providers at risk, limit clinical training, undermine the ability of future doctors to provide comprehensive care, and attack our First Amendment rights to religious freedom.
It’s dangerous - sometimes life-threatening - to be pregnant in Kentucky. Politicians claim that extreme abortion bans protect women’s health, but the reality is the opposite: these bans put lives at risk and create unnecessary suffering for patients and families.
Kentucky’s abortion bans ignore medical facts and force doctors to practice medicine under fear, not clinical judgment, risking felony charges for providing the standard of care all patients deserve.
No one should have to risk their life, be denied standard care, lose control over their own health decisions, or travel hundreds of miles for care simply because they live in Kentucky. No politician’s personal religious beliefs should ever decide someone’s medical care.
